Events, issues and discussions posted to this group may be of interest to gay, lesbian, transgendered, bisexual, questioning and allied peoples in the Eastern Iowa area.   This group's focus is primarily with listing events, issues, and discussions occurring the Iowa City and Cedar Rapids with respect to the GLBT community.   Waterloo, Des Moines, and the Quad Cities may also have items listed from time to time.   Information is gathered from various sources in the Eastern Iowa area including the Cedar Rapids GLRC, UI GLBTAU, PFLAG, and WRAC.   Events are posted to the calendar section of the group and a weekly email reminder will be sent out to participants.   For more information about events listed, contact the event sponsor in advance.   Persons requiring accommodations are encouraged to attend events and should contact the events sponsor for more information.
